Barnes earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco
School of Law. He focused on Information Technology
law, with an emphasis on security and privacy policy.
James also has over a decade of systems and network design and administration experience. He was principal
systems and network architect for Windom Health Enterprises in the
early 90's and Director of Information Technology Operations at HealthCentral.com
from 1997 to 2000 following the merger of Windom Health Enterprises
with Dean Edell Online.
James also spent over five years developing his research, investigative,
and legal drafting skills as a freelance legal assistant to attorneys
